BlockWorks is ordering software for butchers, made by Butchers Block Advisory ("we", "us"). This page explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what your rights are. We are the data controller for the information described here.
Who we are
Butchers Block Advisory, 1 Hornsby Square, Southfields Business Park, Laindon, Essex SS15 6SD.
Phone: 01279 912029
Email: tony@farm2table.co.uk
What we collect
- Demo requests and founding place applications: your name, business name, phone number and, if you give them, your email address, town or postcode and the answers you choose about how your business works.
- Where an enquiry came from: when you send a form, it includes the page you sent it from and how you reached the site (for example an email link or a Google search), so we know which advertising works. This is read from the web address at the time; nothing is stored on your device.
- Website use: standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type, held by our hosting provider for security and reliability. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not follow you to other sites.
- The demos: anything you type into the demos stays in your own browser. It isn't sent to us.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your request, arrange a demo and talk to you about BlockWorks (legitimate interests, and steps you ask us to take before entering a contract).
- To send you follow-up emails about BlockWorks (legitimate interests, or your consent where the law requires it). You can tell us to stop at any time.
- To keep our systems secure and meet legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation and legitimate interests).
We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (website hosting), Resend (which delivers the form to our inbox) and our email provider. Also professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it. Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where they are, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead anywhere are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep only enough to remember that request.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The demos keep their sample data in your browser's own storage so the screens can share it; clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
